Easy to access from the A38 and well connected, which makes this the perfect base to visit moors, sea and City. You can explore winding streets and picturesque parks which provide the perfect environment to relax in, or take a short drive to explore the wider area.
Bovey Tracey High Street offers a range of quality independent shops, including crafts, delicatessens, butchers, farm produce, fair trade shops and the cheese shed, all with a common theme of providing wares from the local region. It is also home to a number of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and attractions, many within a short walk from The Nook.
For those who like walking, there are many local routes to follow, with paths that will take you to the nearby village of Lustleigh, home to the Cleave Inn and Primrose Tearooms, or perhaps you would like to take in the spectacular views at Trenchford and Tottiford reservoirs, and find your perfect place for a picnic. For keen walkers, there are 954 square km for you to explore at your leisure. The moors has a changeable climate so do be prepared and take with you an ordnance survey map and compass and appropriate clothing as a minimum.
You can access the moors by car or bus within a few minutes of the town which will allow you an abundance of opportunities to explore to your hearts content. We would recommend stopping off at Ullacombe Farm Café and shop on the way for local produce and one of the best cafes in the area. If you fancy a trip to the coast, the South West Coastal path can be accessed within 25 minutes by car and is recommended for the stunning views of the sea and coast.
Cyclist will find routes to suit all abilities. The Wray Valley Trail is a popular, mainly traffic free route that links Bovey Tracey to Moretonhampstead, whilst hilly in places it can be an enjoyable trail for most abilities. The Haytor Climb is popular with the more enthusiastic cyclist, and the Stover Cycling Trail is a new traffic free route that connects Bovey Tracey to Newton Abbot. This flat, family friendly route passes Stover Country Park, a nature reserve and woodland, providing a perfect break along the way.
The towns Café 3 Sixty is a must on the way back, where you will find a warm and relaxed welcome, and space for indoor and outdoor bike parking, and an on site cycle workshop should you need it.
Within the cottage you will find a spacious yet cosy lounge and dining room, with a warming fire to rest in front of at the end of the day.
You will pass through a small corridor to access the lovely country kitchen that leads out through a stable door to the secluded private garden. Like the cottage, it is formed to perfection for two.
Upstairs, you will find a large shower for you to wash your cares away and a luxurious boutique feel bedroom for you to rest and unwind.
